Website project terms.
These terms are designed to make our working relationship clear, fair and collaborative. Please read through the following before accepting your proposal.
Scope of Work The scope of your project is outlined in your proposal. If you'd like to expand beyond what is included (e.g. additional pages, functionality, or creative input), we're happy to quote for this separately. No additional work will be undertaken without your approval.
Content & Imagery You are responsible for providing all written content and imagery. We'll guide you through a structured content preparation process and support you in refining your message. Bullet points, rough notes or voice memos are all welcome as a starting point. If you're unable to source suitable imagery, we recommend hiring a professional photographer or visual designer. Alternatively, we can quote for this work using our trusted creative network, or source licence-free imagery if you inform us at least 3 weeks before your build begins.
Timelines & Client Responsibilities To ensure a smooth design process, we ask that all content be submitted at least 7 days before your scheduled build. If content is late, this may delay your project. We will do our best to accommodate, but your website may be rescheduled based on our availability.
If insufficient content is received to begin during week one of your design window, a €750 rescheduling fee will apply. This covers the cost of restarting your project and reserving a new slot in our calendar.
We completely understand that life happens — and we’re happy to accommodate genuine, unforeseen circumstances where possible. That said, with a typical 6-week preparation window, good planning usually prevents any delays.
Edits & Revisions You’ll have opportunities to review and provide feedback throughout the build. One round of major revision (e.g. layout changes) is included. Minor edits (e.g. copy tweaks, image swaps) are welcome during the design window. Significant changes after launch may incur a charge.
Post-Launch Support You’ll receive 45 days of post-launch support. This includes advice, content updates or minor tweaks. Support is provided by email, with typical response times within 1 working day. If we’re out of office during your support period, that time will be added to your support window.
Further support is available on request, either as a one-off service or via a retainer.
Website Ownership Once your final payment is made, full ownership is transferred to you. We will make you the primary site owner during your post-launch session. From that point, it is your responsibility to manage and maintain the website.
A full back-up of the website will be saved at launch. If you accidentally delete content, we can reinstall the original version. Updates made since launch will not be included. If reinstallation is requested more than 6 months after go-live, a fee may apply.
We are not responsible for issues resulting from third-party platforms or changes made after handover.
Cancellations & Refunds All deposits are non-refundable. Once work has commenced, no refunds will be given. Any completed work will be shared with you. If we are unable to complete your website due to unforeseen issues on our end, you will be offered either a full refund or a rescheduled build with a 10% discount.
Third-Party Services & Ongoing Costs Your investment includes:
12 months of Squarespace hosting
A free .com domain for 12 months (subject to availability)
A free year of Google Workspace email
You are responsible for all ongoing or third-party services, including (but not limited to):
Domain renewal (approx. €35/year)
Squarespace licence renewal (approx. €250/year)
Additional tools (e.g. Calendly, Mailchimp, ecommerce services)
We’re happy to guide you through these services but do not cover their costs.
Credits & Portfolio Use We retain a credit in the website footer ("Website by The Forest") and reserve the right to showcase your site in our portfolio and marketing materials, unless otherwise agreed.
