Project Terms
These terms apply to all services outlined in this proposal. They’re designed to ensure our working relationship is clear, respectful, and collaborative — so that everyone knows what to expect throughout each stage of the project. Please review the following before confirming your booking.
1. Scope of Work
The scope for each phase of the project is outlined in the main proposal. Any additional work not included (e.g. extra website pages, new brand assets, or expanded design requirements) will be scoped and quoted separately. No additional work will be undertaken without prior written approval.
2. Visual Identity Design
This phase includes:
A refined or refreshed logo
Full brand system (colours, typography, layout, etc.)
A concise brand guidelines document
Use cases or mockups to support real-world application
Up to three rounds of revision are included. Any additional iterations will be scoped and priced separately. Brand collateral (e.g. signage, presentation decks, merchandise) can be designed as add-ons and quoted separately.
3. Website Design & Development
The website will be designed and built on Squarespace 7.1 (Fluid Engine) and includes all deliverables as outlined in the proposal.
You will receive all relevant assets (final designs, logins, documentation) and training to manage the site with confidence.
Please note: Clients are responsible for supplying website content (text, imagery, brand assets). We’ll provide structured support and documentation to help with preparation.
4. Timelines & Collaboration
To keep the project on track, we ask that content and approvals are provided promptly. Delays in providing materials or approvals may affect overall delivery timelines. Where significant rescheduling is required due to extended delays, a rescheduling fee may apply depending on our studio calendar.
5. Ownership & Intellectual Property
All final approved assets are yours to use upon completion of the project and final payment. This includes your logo files, brand guidelines, and live website. We reserve the right to showcase the completed work in our portfolio or marketing materials unless agreed otherwise in writing.
6. Payment Terms
To ensure a smooth, balanced process across each project phase, the total investment will be divided into three equal instalments. This approach allows us to plan, resource, and deliver each stage with care while maintaining momentum throughout the full project timeline.
Payment breakdown:
30% deposit — payable on acceptance of this proposal to confirm your booking
40% — due prior to delivery of any visual identity assets and brand guidelines
30% — due prior to delivery of the final website design, following approval and before launch
Final deliverables (including the live website and transfer of design files) will be released once payment is received.
7. Third-Party Costs
Licence renewal or third party platform costs are not included in this proposal. Additional tools (e.g. domain renewals, scheduling software, mailing lists, analytics tools) are not included unless specifically noted and are the responsibility of the client.
8. Post-Launch Support & Future Development
You’ll receive 45 days of post-launch support for small refinements, questions or troubleshooting. Beyond this, we offer:
Flexible retainers for regular updates and support
Project-based quotes for future website development or brand collateral
This gives you the freedom to scale your brand and website as your business grows, without being locked into ongoing commitments.
9. Cancellations & Rescheduling
If you choose to cancel the project after the deposit has been paid, the deposit will not be refunded. Any work completed up to the point of cancellation will be delivered. If, for any reason, we are unable to deliver the project, a revised timeline or appropriate refund will be offered.
10. Content Use & Ethics
All content created for our clients will be aligned with the approved strategy and design. We reserve the right to decline work that violates ethical standards or promotes misinformation.
By proceeding with this project and paying the initial deposit, you agree to the terms outlined above.
